First United Methodist Church holds two traditional worship service every Sunday morning at 8:45 AM and 10:50 AM.   Sunday School meets at 9:45 AM. Fifth Sundays are a special time of worship.  The First Church Chancel Choir and Orchestra give a service of music and spoken word under the direction of Albin C. Whitworth.  First Church usually has a communion service at the 8:45 service and 12:00 noon on the first Sunday of every month. Once a quarter, we serve communion at both the 8:45 and 10:50 service. Every Wednesday night at 6:00 PM, First Church holds a prayer meeting in the Chapel. This is an informal time of singing, prayer and teaching.

First United Methodist Church provides excellent child care for its tiniest members. In the east wing, first floor rooms --101, 102, 103 and 104 -- our paid child care staff await your infants, crawlers and toddlers. Child care is provided every Sunday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m. and continues until our 10:50 a.m. worship service is over. Sunday evening child care is also available. Every Wednesday evening and during any other church wide event, child care is provided upon request. When special programming is not available for preschoolers and children Kindergarten through 5th grade, age appropriate child care is available.
