"I am the vine, you are the branches.
Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing."
John 15:5

Senior Adults

Who Are We?  Active adults that are 55 and up (or close).  All seniors are welcome who would like to experience fellowship and friendships through joining together in activities and meals.

Purpose

The purpose of the Senior Adult Ministry is to honor God by providing opportunities for fellowship, friendship and learning for senior adults in order to make disciples for Jesus Christ.

"Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.  Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, Your might to all who are to come."  Psalm 71:17-18

Fellowship

"But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another..."  1 John 1:7

The senior adults have activities twice monthly, which include programs at the church or graveling to places of interest.  Transportation is provided on one of the church buses.  Individual fees for the trips and meals are the responsibility of the participants.  Some tours and activities will involve walking.

We will have sign up sheets for activities in the gathering hall downtown each month.  Andover participants may call 233-0545 to make reservations.  The Circuit Rider and bulletin will keep you informed about all the upcoming activities.

Some activities will be limited and are on a first come first served basis but best efforts are made to accommodate everyone.  Meeting deadlines will be a must.  The church office will always be able to assist you with updates.

Activities will happen on a variety of days, evenings and weekends to include as many as possible.

Learning
We will offer programs and seminars of interest to senior concerning a variety of issues:  health, finances, entertainment, etc.  All suggestions will be appreciated and considered by the Senior Adult Team.
