DOWNTOWN CAMPUS
200 West High Street
First United Methodist Church
(downtown campus) holds two traditional worship service every Sunday morning at
8:30 AM and
11:00 AM.
Each service is about one hour in length. Sunday School meets at
9:50 AM.

Our downtown service is in a
beautiful historic sanctuary built in 1908, and is part of our
legacy dating back to 1789. There is wonderful singing using
hymns and anthems, meaningful liturgy, inspiring preaching, and
warm, vibrant music. About 300 persons worship at 8:30, and
400-450 at our 11:00 service.
Holy Communion
is offered on the first Sunday of
each month
at the 8:30 service and at both the 8:30 and 11:00 services on
the first Sunday of each quarter (January, April, July, October:
World Communion Sunday).
Come and
Go Communion is available in Slaton Chapel at 8:15 a.m.
and 12:15 p.m and is self-directed.
Offerings,
a contemporary service at First
Church, meets in West Chapel (downtown) at 11:00 a.m. each Sunday at
the same time as our sanctuary service. This service is geared
toward those who prefer an alternative to traditional worship.
